As the two reach the canyon, they find the Ghost Man on a bridge using the bone melon as a ball. He will only give them the melon if they beat him at Drop Ball, which Cinnamon Bun does. After getting the melon they take it back to the shake stand and get the smoothie for the substitute Gate Guardian and he allows them to pass. However, once they reach the castle, Death informs Peppermint Butler that Finn and Jake aren't dead.

Meanwhile, in an unknown location, Finn and Jake are relaxing in a hot tub and suddenly just think about Peppermint Butler, much to their unease.

The Summit of Wolf Mountain[]

Peppermint Butler is shooting darts at pictures to choose the next two heroes to draft and the darts land on Lumpy Space Princess and the Earl of Lemongrab. They are sent to end a quarrel between the Wolf Men, and as they go on their way to the Why-wolves' territory they argue about each other. When they meet the Why-wolves they are informed the quarrel is about the ownership of Wolf Mountain. Lemongrab decides that there must be a summit of wolves and gets all the various species of Wolf-Men to meet at Wolf Mountain. Lemongrab and Lumpy Space Princess make them vote on who they want to get the mountain and naturally it's a tie. Lemongrab declares Lumpy Space Princess and himself to be the tiebreakers, causing the Why-wolves and Mer-wolves to bite them each respectively to gain their votes. As the quarreling between the wolves continues, it is revealed that Wolf Mountain is alive and was a wolf who was cursed to be a mountain until the "chosen ones" brought all the wolves together as one people. However, the wolves are only interested in who gets Wolf Mountain and Lumpy Space Princess insults the mountain, causing it to float away offended. The Wolf Men blame Lemongrab and Lumpy Space Princess and attack them. When they return to Peppermint Butler, mauled and failed, he fires them both.
