Necessity[]
Is this category necessary? I estimate that about half of the members in this category are also in Category:Princesses. There should be criteria for this category, otherwise, it just overlaps the Princesses category. Waddle D33 17:00, January 27, 2011 (UTC)
- Yes it's necessary since it includes non-princesses. Though I might change it to [[:Category:Nobility]] since we include things like count/duke/duchess/earl. Those are not considered royal I think. Royal would be a container for king/queen/prince/princess and nobility could contain royalty along with other titles. Basically though I don't know why pages are tagged with BOTH princess and royalty. As far as I'm concerned if you have princess you don't need royalty. Stuff like 'royal' should just be a container for the royal titles which are actually used on char pages. It sounds better as a category used for categories only. Nobility though, makes sense to use on pages since subcats with the above titles don't make sense until we have more than one of each of them. Tyc 05:06, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
- This wiki so far has followed the practice of putting all applicable categories onto pages, even if some categories contain others. However, I'm not opposed to changing that. If you want to take this category off of pages and just use it as a container category, I'd support that. --Cornprone 10:07, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
