He is introduced in "Blood Under the Skin." When Finn wanted one of his armors, Choose Goose asked greedily for Jake's head. When Finn refused, he gave Finn a poem that led to the Armor of Zeldron. In "The Real You," after Finn entertained him, Choose Goose ends up selling Finn the Glasses of Nerdicon. Finn saw this as a shortcut to becoming "smart" but his new braininess nearly destroys Ooo. Choose Goose usually requests strange things from people when trading.
Choose goose makes a cameo appearance at the end of Issue 4, and is seen splashing in Desert Princess's new lake with Water Princess celebrating the defeat of The Lich.

Appearance
Choose Goose has long, plump, orange legs, which seem to look like striped tights. He wears a blue mid-century "lute suit" with a long green feather on the matching hat. His limbs seem to be very weak and flexible. He also has a long neck with a red stripe on it.

Choose Goose appeared in the Cartoon Network online game, "Legends of Ooo." At one point, he does not rhyme because he is annoyed.

- He is also seen in an early storyboard of "The Enchiridion!."
- His voice imitates, or is a possible homage to, American comedian and actor Ed Wynn.
- In the episode "Blood Under the Skin," there was a necklace in his stall with a pink prism that resembles the holopendant that Princess Bubblegum gave to Finn in "The Other Tarts."
