Masaaki Yuasa is an anime television and film director, screenwriter, storyboard artist and animator known for his wild free form style. He was born on March 16, 1965 in Fukuoka, Japan. He wrote, directed, storyboarded and animated the Adventure Time episode "Food Chain" with his crew. He also sang the opening song for the episode. His most recent work as of January 2015 is the animated adaptation of Taiyō Matsumoto's manga Ping Pong. In June of 2014 he announced that he, along with his close affiliate Eunyoung Choi, had founded a new animation studio by the name of Science SARU.
