Should we have an annual Adventure Time Newsletter? It can talk about the show, the wikia, the wikia's gangs _{(I've noticed a few groups that I've been calling gangs popping up)}, interesting blog/forum posts, Jake's advice column, and whatever else.

How would this be distributed? Would it be an article in the main namespace or something else? If it's something officially endorsed by the wiki, I'd prefer if it did not talk about "gangs" or provide commentary on any particular groups of users. That's just asking to stir up trouble. In fact, if it's considered an official feature of the wiki, I'd prefer that it stick only to facts, not opinions. --Cornprone 22:15, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

A lot has happened the last month or two. Plenty of stuff to write about and plenty of answers we need to answer. People continue making blogs about the 13-yo rule for example. I suggest deleting such blogs when they are created again besides just closing them. And explaing it all in the newsletter so that people's questions will be answered. Maybe advice people to keep personal info to themselves, too. Marcaline 20:20, May 25, 2012 (UTC)

• Support — - Nice idea. I have a couple sections as ideas: Wiki News, Show News, Comics, Fanon, Did You Know?, Hidden Snail and a few contests such as: Best Story, Make a Water Princess, Make any Princess or Make a Plot for a __________ episode.

Cornprone, it can be given out in different ways. For example, you guys can have a subscription forum and you can subscribe to the newspaper. Once released, you just post it on their talkpage. You can customize MediaWiki and post it on MediaWiki:Community-corner or if you update that, customize MediaWiki:Community-corner-notice to announce the newsletter.

• Oppose — I really don't see the need for a news letter. Everthing you suggested that it would contain are already handled by the forums. It just seems redundant to me. - Alchemical (talk) 16:24, September 14, 2012 (UTC)

• Oppose — Meh, consider it my own bias against news letters in general (they are annoying) or my shear lack of desire to have one. I find that most of the info that would be placed in the article is already available through the wiki. The forum takes care of a lot more than what meets the eye. If anything, I feel the founder or a bureaucrat should at least make a site wide address at least once a month or so. We should also be utilizing the news section on the wiki's home since that has yet to be updated since April of this year. Makes us look out of date and inactive.
