Hambo was Marceline's beloved teddy bear seen in "Memory of a Memory." She loved it ever since she was a kid, when she replaced its left eye with a button from her jumper and her last piece of thread. While she was sewing the button onto him, she said: "I'm hurting you because I love you." Ash sold it to a witch to buy a new magic wand (which is a cherry blossom branch), revealing that because the doll was Marceline's favorite thing in the world, it was valuable for making potions. When Marceline found out, she furiously dumped him, shrieking "IT'S OVER, YOU PSYCHO!"
Appearance
Despite being called a teddy bear, Hambo looks nothing like one. He looks more like a broken, torn, dirty, rag doll than anything else. He also slightly resembles a pinkish sock monkey, due to his long legs and arms. He may have been fixed so many times that this is what he looks like.
Trivia
- Hambo is one of the few things in the series that resemble a sleeping "buddy".
