Lions are a species of big cats.
A lion appears very briefly in the episode "Wizard," in the scene introducing the Wizard Students. A student is seen riding on the lion, then he casts a spell, and he and the lion switch places, which makes the student make a Phil Face.
Another lion, probably not the same one, appears in the episode "The Silent King," where it is one of the many animals roaming around the Goblin Kingdom. It will usually lie in bed to act as sheets for goblin royalty.
