I was checking out Wikia Spongebobia as spongebob is my childhood idol and I've noticed they have a SpongeBob quiz that anybody could take so I thought maybe we could do the same! Let me know what you think.
I was just wondering if maybe you could talk to the other admins about considering adding some sort of sound when somebody leaves a message on chat because I've noticed sometimes it takes people long to answer.
Hello Adventuretimegurl123, I am Finn&JakeHero425 but I believe we've met on chat. Anyway I see you've deleted Map of the Land of Ooo, my latest contribution to the Adventure Time Wiki. I'm okay with it because I agree it may be unnecessary but I was wondering if I should add it to Land of Ooo since there is a mini section titled "Map". If you deleted my article, I assume you've read it, I would very much like to let the community know about discovery. Please leave me a message on my wall.
Hey there! I already reached out to Flambo the Epic about this, and he wanted me to contact other active admins to get their feelings on it, so here I am! Here's what we discussed: as part of our effort to connect fans with the entertainment they love, Wikia is working with sponsors and partners to place certain content on fan communities, and Adventure Time came to mind! The content we are trying to get, for example, would be trailers, behind-the-scenes videos, or just anything relevant to Adventure Time, and it would live in a prominent place on all of the pages of your community (or just on the main page). This is a great way to get content that is relevant and interesting to existing fans as well as drive new fans to your Wikia community! Just FYI, the placement would be temporary (~2-4 weeks), and we definitely want an okay from the admins on the community before doing anything.
If you want an example, check out the top of the main pages on Borderlands Wiki and Witcher Wiki. Let me know if you would be okay with this!
This seems like a great idea! For now, the main page only would suffice, as we don't want the place to look more crowded than it already does. I'm all in! Adventuretimegurl123 19:56, June 9, 2015 (UTC))
Hi there! Sorry to bother you, but I have a few questions. When editing an article, is Wikipedia a reliable source to cite/use information from? On wikipedia they have more information about the upcoming miniseries, but I'm not sure if it is correct/if I should add it because it is wikipedia. Also, if it is, do you have any advice on how to add references to the page, through the reflist format thing. I can't seem to figure it out :( Thanks!
No worries! Answering is what I am here for. Now, about Wikipedia. In a sense, WE are a Wikipedia, but for a television show. However, we tend NOT to directly source Wikipedia itself, for reasons you might already know. Any other source that is cited within a Wikipedia source can be used, though.
And about the referencing, use the following: < ref >|[insert link here]|< /ref > (Do not space the arrows to the words, nor add those lines I added. I did that because if I had done it correctly, the example would not show).
Hope this helped, and I will be glad to help with anything else! Thanks! Adventuretimegurl123 21:35, May 25, 2015 (UTC))
Thank you for responding so quickly!! Thanks for the advice on referncing!! I will make sure to try that out!! Do you just go under the reference tab and enter the link like that, or do you have to go into that reflist format? :)
Also thanks for the wikipedia clarification! In fact, I was just looking around, and I realized that they revealed a ton of information about season 7, including the name on the miniseries, and that it will have 8 parts, but I can't seem to find a cooresponding source! If you have a chance, could you take a look? If you can find a source, then that means some new info to expand the miniseries article! if not, is it a fraud?
