Most people have diff styles and techniques in drawing.here are some of them.
For starter they use Picture and such to draw what they see.I think it's called sketching.This techinique is pretty common even i used it.it will improve your eyesight and focus on what angle or size on the object is.Just Remember dont TRACE. you will learn nothing in tracing.
You can use your imagination or use a photo and draw.
Keep prcticing until you master it.
Some people use their imagination to draw.for example what did there thinking in their mind and draw it on paper.That technique improves your memory that you dont need pictures or figure to draw it.

Im thinking about what finn and jake look like as filipino.
The Anime style drawing must be detailed thats why it is so complicated.
you must have a tons of idea and imagination in order to make one.
And also " Doodle ". Doodling is for fun when you got time to spare. One of the example is what you draw in the back of your notebook at school (dont lie to me,you do it too when youre bored at class and so am i).
Remember once you learn the basic. you can draw anything you want (ex. new AT characters outfit , ETC.)

HOW TO DRAW FINN THE HUMAN
Draw an Oval for finns face
So to draw the image above (don’t draw the 2 extra ovals) … just draw a downwards curved line above Fin’s head…figure out how far down 3 heads is and then draw 2 inwards curved lines at the front and back of the curved line that you just drew. Then draw the bottom curved line
Making Arms and legs
Lightly sketch an oval on each foot, a triangle on the left hand, and 2 rectangles on the right hand.
Draw the hand and show with the guide that you just did awhile ago
Draw finn's backpack and hat
Now put some details on finn face shirt pants and mouth
Some times when we draw there's always a problem,wrong or horrible here are some example and solutions.
What if you want to draw and you dont feel like it?
Well sometimes people really need to draw to impress someone but youre too lazy. well that because youre too lazy to draw (sometimes it happens to me) but if you really wanna draw.Just play with your ballpen or do something else.
Its a pen spinning tutorial. its really fun to do but complicated for a beginner so try it.
