  • DISCLAIMER*
  1. I am not a shipper. I mention it, talk about it, but i don't support nor do i hate it (With one exception *). This has been mentioned cause it will be "mildy" touched upon.
  1. This is MY interpretation of these songs. I'm not saying that my interpretations are absolute. For me, music is a universal language. You can pretty much interpret it any way you want, according to the situation, what you're going through, ETC ETC.

*I hate Bubbline. Well, "hate" is probably the wrong word. I don't hate the shipping itself, but some of it's supporters. When you get a constant shoving of "THIS SHIP IS CANON!! LOOK AT THE FACTS" in your face, it does lead a man to break his principles.

Anyway, with that out of the way, let's get on with the topic. Adventure Time and Music.

I love music. Wherever i go, there's always a headphone on my head blasting sweet music to my ears. Watching AT, i can't help but associate some of the characters/pairings/friendship with a specific music. I'd love to express them in art, but i'm too lazy to buy a tablet, sign in to DA and draw whatever's on my head. So i'll just list them. And as i've mentioned on the disclaimer, some shipping will be touched upon (even the so called "dead" ones), so please try to act civil. Oh and do note that not all AT characters were associated with a song.

  • Simon Petrikov/Young Marceline = Satellite by Collective Soul
Ed Roland wrote this song for his son. It's about his love and care for him. So it should be clear why this  song was chosen for these two.
Listen to the song and tell me that the first part doesn't remind you of these two.
Dreaming With a Broken Heart is about longing for the one you love. Everything I Own is about desperation to have him/her back. I think both applies to Simon.
I don't really think i need to explain this one, the lyrics speak for themselves. Give the song a listen and you'll know why i chose it.
It's not just the name, it's the entire song itself. It could also be interpreted in various ways. You could see the entire song from PB's point of view. Or you can see the first line of the song from the point of view of (INSERT CHARACTER HERE) and the second line would be for PB, with her realizing that she does love and need (INSERT CHARACTER HERE). It's especially applicable now after "The Suitor" aired, as it shows that her job as a Princess and Scientist is more important to her than romance and love.
In case you didn't know, that song is about fatherhood. So it should be clear why i chose it for Jake.
Again, it's one of the music that you have to listen to in order to understand why i chose it.

And that's pretty much it. I may add more in the future, but yeah that's it. Do feel free to add your own.
